Hello Families,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! Here is a quick update on what we have been learning in class:

Literacy

We continued working through our literacy centers this week. In writing, students practiced creating sentences using figurative language, including similes, metaphors, imagery, and hyperbole. It has been wonderful to see their creativity and expression continue to grow!

Math
This week, students completed a “Show What You Know” activity to demonstrate their understanding of algebra and telling time. Afterward, we continued reviewing algebra concepts and practicing time skills. Some students had exciting “aha” moments as they learned to solve equations with a missing number using balance models, understanding that both sides must stay equal. Many students even asked for more algebra practice! It was wonderful to see their confidence grow.

Social Studies
Students continued learning about why protected areas and parks are important, focusing on how they help protect land and natural resources.

P.E.

Students had a lot of fun playing basketball, practicing their skills, and taking part in a friendly scoring competition to see which team could score the most points.

Thank you for your continued support!
